|  Lee Addison, originally from Richmond, VA, and Katherine Weeks, originally from Charlotte, NC, met each other while working at a large e-business consulting firm where the focus of their work was online branding and website design. After working closely with each other on several projects, they felt they could team up and form a successful web design company of their own. Creative by nature, Lee and Katherine were known for designing and hand making necklaces in their spare time for friends as gifts. Repeated requests from friends to sell their hand made pieces, together with Lee and Katherine's need to produce a web portfolio for their new venture, naturally led to their designing a web site featuring their jewelry designs.
Literally overnight, the jewelry website took off, and a new small business, Turq™ Jewelry, was in the making. The sales gave Lee and Katherine the motivation and confidence they needed to pursue their true love, jewelry design, full time. Turq™ Designs have been featured on a Today Show segment and have been worn by celebrities such as Leeza Gibbons of the afternoon entertainment program EXTRA and Kathleen Kennedy, a CNN Headline News anchor.
